OK, I never really got the hang of PostNuke so I’m onto a new set of software – WordPress. Much more limited in scope & it seems a lot more straight forward to manage.
In the process I lost my other blog entries (or I couldn’t figure out how to migrate them forward) so here’s a text dump of the stories:
Going Home

Well, after 3 weeks Colette & I are going back to Maine. Sigh. We just have to keep our eye on the reward to make it through the next month. Packing, giving away the cats (ARGH!), etc. is no fun at all.
Typing this from NZ while waiting for our connection to LAX. A wonderful 12 hour flight – then a 10 hour layover. Yippie!
Running out of time… My $2 NZ coin doesn’t last long.

I’m having a great time here in the sunshine coast. What a nice place! Lots of beautiful beaches & good restaurants.
There has been some cool thunderstorms while I’ve been here. They remind me of the storms we used to get in Denver – move in fast, make a lot of noise, then zip on out. We had an excellent lightning show last night that went on for hours.
The only hitch so far has been the having to pay for my airfare when I got to the boston airport! Not sure what happened but the travel agency the company used is crediting my account. Needless to say it’s already become part of the company lore. I’m really glad Colette pushed me to go on the flight anyway (I almost walked when the lady said it wasn’t paid for) because this has been a fabulous first week. The excitement here is amazing! Management is really on the ball and asking the right questions & doing everything they can to make this whole thing a success.
I got video of the kangaroos today. How fun!

Today’s my last day of work here in Maine. What a weird feeling! I’ve left other jobs but never to move so far away!!
Some questions, like does the postoffice forward mail around the world?
