Boxes & Down Under

On Friday we received box #12, which is the last of the 13 boxes to arrive. So, our little spare bedroom in our temporary apartment is now packed with boxes & other crap.
I just finished an execllent book by Bill Bryson – Down Under. I believe it’s been published in the States as “A Sunburned Country“. It’s a perfect view into the Australian culture from an American point of view. It’s also VERY hilarious. Highly recommended.
We test drove a motorcycle on Saturday – a 1983 BMW K100. Whoo Hoo! Who cares if it’s 21 years old? It was still fun to drive. Bikes are, like everything else, quite expensive over here & the beemer was offered at $4500. It did come with full luggage though and seemed to run ok. I’m sure it would go better after a tune up. Unfortunately, my responsible side is saying wait until I find out what customs is going to cost before buying a bike. I hate my responsible side.
