Another trip to the hospital

Friday night Colette & I went out to dinner on Mooloolaba’s esplanade and stopped at this place that had a good dessert menu. We’ve walked by it many times, but this is the first time we stopped. I had a pretty tasty Tuna steak with mango salsa and Co had a scallops dish with BACON (lots of bacon) and rice. All very yummy. As we were waiting to order dessert I started getting the shakes and my hands got real itchy. We were sitting outside and it was a little cool so I thought I was just cold. We had dessert & went home where I noticed a lovely red rash had developed all over my body. Colette called emergency (000) and we spent the next 5 hours n the ER at Nambour Hospital. I had an allergic reaction to something in the food, but as near as I can tell, I’ve eaten all that stuff before with no problems. In fact, I’ve never had an allergic reaction to anything.
The ambulance was interesting. It’s much smaller than the mods used in most of the US. The rear door is a tailgate that opens up! It just reminds me of an updated version of the old hearse based units. Other than that it was pretty standard.
Life has been just one exciting thing after another over there. The USA will be boring when you get back!!!!!
