A year ago today, Colette & I were battling a Rochester snow storm trying to get out of town & country. Today we’re hanging around about 2 km from the beach in the South Pacific. Pretty nifty! Sunday will be our actual 1 year anniversary here in australia.
This last year has gone by pretty fast. Fortunately, work has been interesting and it’s been fun exploring a different culture.
We’re going to Sydney over Easter (Friday & Monday are holidays here – which is a little odd considering how un-religious the place is). We’re mainly going to check out the Lord of the Rings exhibit, of course! We saw it in Toronto before the movies came out and when we heard it was ‘nearby’ we had to check it out. While we’re down there, we’ll check out the zoo and the cheap tour of the Opera House and whatever else comes up. We won’t be climbing the bridge – it’s $185 per person for a weekend daytime climb! I think there’s a much cheaper pillar tour that we might do instead.
