Kite Festival

Last Sunday we went up to the Coolum Kite Festival. It was quite a site! These were not your ordinary Ben Franklin kites – these were huge 3-dimensional constructions! There was a huge octopus, stingray, spaceship, and various other fun shapes. Kind of like a balloon festival without all the hot air.

Today we’re off to Noosa to a mate’s (ha, I said mate) place to watch the AFL Grand Final. The Sydney Swans are battling the West Coast Eagles. This is equivalent to the Super Bowl, but with less wardrobe malfunctions (darn it). Anyway, it should be a bloody good time.
