I am so disgusted with Bush and his government (it’s certainly not mine – I didn’t vote for that bunch of liars). After Tuesday it’s now legal for the government to pick up anyone on the street, slap him with an ‘enemy-combatant’ label and throw them in jail with no recourse, no trials, and no access to secret evidence. This means anyone in the country – not just non-Americans.
I’d say the terrorists are winning and we’re turning into our own worse enemy.

now, now, now….the gummint swears on a stack of bibles that they solemnly swear to protect our rights. it must be so; they say so. after all, father knows best….
what bothers me is that our checks and balances are gone to hell-the republicans in congress seem to be more of an extension of the president’s personal agenda, than be saddled with the tough job of thinking.
right?
