Merry Christmas
Dec 22nd, 2006 by john
Well, it’s December 22 and Portland is nice and sunny with no snow whatsoever! It looks like Denver got it all. What’s the point of being back in the states if we can’t even have a white christmas? Geesh.
At least it’ll make the trip to Colette’s parents easier.
I’m loving Colette’s new job! She’s considered an employee of Hilton hotels and gets employee rates! Whoo Hoo. We’re spending a night in Vermont on the way to the Gansevoort metropolis and then in January we’re staying in downtown Boston for a weekend. We’ll be taking in the sights and going to a Bruins game. The hotel (a Doubletree) is costing something like $49 a night. Super! We decided not to stay at the hilton since that was an outrageous $80 per night. I’m hoping this job works out and we can do loads of travelling. We do have a lot of mileage points built up on our credit card from living in Australia for 2 years. We couldn’t use them there so they just piled up.
My work’s ok. We’re getting revenue! That’s new & exciting! So, maybe 2007 will be better.
Not much else going on. No great photos to post. Well, I may have some, but I’ve lost the USB cable for our camera and haven’t gotten around to replacing it. Also, our video camera has died. Took it in to a local shop but they said it would have to go to Sony for repair and that they charge a flat $400 fee (or close enough)! Yikes. So, I’m sorta in the market for a new camera. Do I go with the miniDV, a DVD, a hard disk, or an sd card? Too many choices!!
